Who we are

Mummies Paying it Forward is a Sydney-based organisation created to support the most vulnerable people within our society, by providing preloved (in great condition) and brand new items to a wide range of dedicated local not-for-profit charities within New South Wales. Sometimes finding out the who, when, what and where of donating can be challenging for time-poor mums

Founded in December 2014 by Sydney mum of four and paediatric nurse Fatma Elzein, and run by a small, dedicated team of volunteers, the group has grown from a handful of Fatma's friends, to over 14,000+ members in a short period of time. Read more about how we began.

We focus on practical ways we can contribute to local not-for-profit organisations and assist so many struggling families within our communities and beyond.

We take everyday new and used items (in great condition) that you no longer need and provide them to people less fortunate. It's about helping someone who has hit a rough patch in life so they have the opportunity to one day help themselves and in most cases, their children and families.

Donations can be delivered to one of over 25 drop-off points across Sydney or given directly to the charities we support.

Our supporters

We are run solely by volunteers and receive incredible support from the organisations below. Without them, we would not be able to help nearly as many people as we do, as quickly as we do.

We are also very grateful to the many people who help us on a regular basis: the drop-off points who open their homes to receive donations; the sorters who go through all of the donations to allocate them to the charities, ensuring they are in great condition; the drivers who go all over Sydney delivering donations; and our volunteers, who make sure donations make it into the storage units each day, are sorted and ready for delivery to the various charities we support.

Of course a huge thanks to each of you who donate so many items to help those in need.
